The Second Biennial “We Agnostics, Atheists & Freethinkers” International AA Convention is in Austin on November 11 – 13 – 2016.

Human Power Can Relieve Our Alcoholism, May You Find Us Now!

Our goal at the convention and in our meetings is to maintain a tradition of free expression, and conduct meetings where alcoholics are free to express any beliefs, disbelief’s, or doubts they may have, and to share their own personal form of spiritual experience, their search for it, or their rejection of it. We do not endorse nor oppose any form of religion or atheism. Our only wish is to assure suffering alcoholics that they can find sobriety in A.A. without having to accept anyone else’s beliefs or having to deny their own.

The convention will be three days of speakers on sobriety, AA meetings sponsored by secular AA groups from around the world, in addition to panel discussions revolving around many areas in recovery in A.A. You will meet people who share your beliefs and some who do not. We ask only that you bring an open mind and we will endeavor to do the same. This is, we’re certain, unlike any A.A. convention you have ever attended. Together, we’ll share our experience, strength and hope as successfully recovering members in the Fellowship of A.A. As well, we’ll have lots of sober fun in Austin, a vibrant, progressive community in the heartland of Texas, renown for its cuisine, hospitality and being the “Live Music Capital of the World.
