*** CHECK IT OUT *** To AA members in and around Austin, the Hill Country Intergroup wishes to show our sincere gratitude to all the groups who have shown their generous support over the past year. Through your regular financial donations, the valuable time you volunteered, and by supporting our Intergroup events, we have had great success this year, and have been able to serve AA , provide support, resources, literature, and continue to carry the message to the Austin vicinity and surrounding areas. Due to such good fortune, the Board of Trustees invites everyone to celebrate our thankfulness for your help at the Intergroup Open House on Saturday, September 11th, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.at the Hill Country Intergroup office, 1825 Fortview Rd., #104, in south Austin (78704). We will have some good Bar-B-Que, great fun, and fine fellowship, with many congratulations to all those who have served well our “great cause to live for”. Please join us, and bring a friend or two you may want to introduce to Intergroup and its part in the service structure, and please invite any friends or sponsees looking for an easy and enjoyable way to do service. Sign Up Now!!!! Three Ways To Serve! Answer the Intergroup HOTLINE phones at your home (or cell phone) from 6:00 PM to 8:00 AM (Monday thru Friday), OR FROM 8:00 AM TO 8:00 PM & 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM (SATURDAYS AND SUNDAYS ONLY). Phones are forwarded and un-forwarded from the Intergroup office. The service commitment is one night per quarter (every three months)
Or Place your name on the 12th Step call list to assist alcoholics who call in for help. Or Sign up to work the phone desk at the Intergroup Office on a three hour shift between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Monday through Friday. Requirements for all of the above listed service work are: 1) Six (6) months of continuous sobriety 2) Have taken AA's Twelve Steps with a sponsor |
